Hey Friends –
What’s up??? I’m home today with both the flu and a house full of fleas. Ugh!
I’ve been sent to a sanitized room while the “de-flea-ing” continues, so it’s a perfect time to fill you in on what we’ve been up to this summer. I’ve missed you all! Here’s what I’ve been up to – ministry, family, and marriage!
Ministry Updates
I’ve had the best time teaching a series called “Balanced Living” this month. Even though I wrote the material last year, it’s been rocking my world to review and re-teach many powerful Truths from God’s Word. God brought over 75 amazing, beautiful women and being with them on Tuesday’s this summer has been terrific!
Where will I be next? August 16th I’ll be at the Michigan Praise and Coffee Night, and you can also check out my full speaking schedule here.
Another fun update…I’m now being represented by Wendy Lawton from Books & Such Literary Agency. I’m thrilled God has provided Wendy to help navigate the business “stuff” so I can focus 100% on doing what I love – studying His Word & sharing His Truths with others! Yay, God! 🙂
Filming in Laodicea
How’s Red Hot Faith coming (the Bible Study I filmed this Spring in Turkey (recap here)?? It’s getting closer – how exciting!! I’ll be back at RBC next month to work on some of the “voice overs”, and will give you more “sneak peeks” as soon as I have them! They’re also working on the cover – I’ll be sure to keep y’all “in the loop”. I appreciate your prayers and support more than you know!

Family
Besides my dog getting fleas, my gang has been busy with normal fun summer stuff – riding bikes, playing games, swimming and boating.
We’ve been also helping my son Jake navigate his Fall college plans. Jake spent last week in Canada at a prospect hockey camp, and after much time and prayer, Jake has made a decision (which I am thrilled about!). Hopefully he’ll let me share the good news next week!
Marriage
Lastly (I saved the best for last!) – on August 5th John and I will celebrate 12 years of marriage! Can I get a Woo Hoo?!
It’s my turn to plan our anniversary “mini moon”, and I’m super excited about the little getaway John and I are going on to celebrate. Now if I can just get rid of this flu!
Well that’s “what’s up” in my neck of the world. How ’bout you???

I actually got to participate in a Hogwarts camp run through a church program. as a volunteer that all 3 of my kids were at. It was an awesome experience for us all to share. It transported us all to the magical world of Harry Potter but with service projects and positive messages (no Slytherin) throughout. It was a great time. I feel like summer is coming to a crashing halt too soon. This weekend there have been many messages/emails about fall scheduling….
Fall messages already? Oh my! I’m not ready for August yet.

I have been blessed to spend 4 awesome weeks in bible study with Cindy and other amazing women. It has truly been amazing. One more night left and it will be sad to say “till another time…”. Cindy, I hope the household situations get better.

Oh Courtney, you bless me more than you know! We were destined to be friends – of this I am sure. Not looking forward to saying “see ya later” this Tuesday, but I’m confident we will see each other soon (I think we still have a Jersey Junction date that needs to happen!)
