If you spend any time around *She Sparkles*, you know I love to celebrate!
I find great *joy* in making even our “ordinary days“….extraordinary! As my pastor often shares…
***Life should not just lived, it should be celebrated!***
Trust me, after weeks of sick kids, disappointing news, and our crazy family schedule ~ it was time for us to get our party on!
As always, I turned to my favorite friends at Party City. Don’t you love that place? I just walk in and my creative juices start flowing and I can’t help but throw a party!
One of my favorite celebrating “tools” is a confetti wand. Have you tried one before?
My friend Erin first introduced me to this beautiful, colorful bundle of joy. I was visiting Erin prior to attending a speakers conference in North Carolina. Imagine my frustration when I arrived in North Carolina, but my suitcase stuffed full of colorful speaker outfits, sparkles, and make-up, did not. Ugh.
When my suitcase finally caught up with me, guess what we did?
We celebrated with a confetti wand! My lost luggage was now found! Woo Hoo!
I love passing out confetti wands to celebrate not just big things – birthdays, anniversaries, etc.. (although that’s fun too) – but also celebrating the mini-victories –
- Showing up at Weight Watchers when you know the scale is not going to be in your favor
- Choosing to let the dishes pile up and instead going for a walk to take care of you
- Stepping out in faith and sharing how you are really doing
- Biting your tongue when everything in you wants to gossip and complain
You get the drift. What small victories can we celebrate with you today?
Personally I’m celebrating the fact that I’ve made it a priority to exercise every day this week. Woo Hoo!
Now it’s your turn! Let’s celebrate a small victory with you! I’ll even send out a confetti wand to 10 *She Sparkles* friends for YOU to celebrate anything you want at your house!
For the GIVEAWAY of a super fun confetti wand…Leave a comment in the comment section answering this question: What small victory can we celebrate with you??

Kind of crazy for a serious gal like me, but I’m doing fun things 2 weekends in a row. Fun things that are just…for fun! Last weekend was going to the Carrie Underwood concert. THis weekend, I am running in the Color Run (no timing, just FUN).
And I just signed up to receive your blog by email. (BTW, ask me about Rafflecopter for these giveaways)
And I follow She Sparkles through your FB writer’s page.

and the tweet posted on my FB!
Jen, you totally win the giveaway! I’m going to send a couple boxes your way! 🙂
Cindy, I am in full celebration mode right now. We are having our annual Ladies Retreat here at Cedar Lake Ministries, and I have been asked to speak for one of our break out sessions. I will also be leading devotions in the mornings. I am thrilled that God is giving me opportunities to share my journey.
Way to go, Sue! Promise you’ll tell me all about your break out sessions when I see you next month. I love hearing how God is using you! Yay God! Yay you! 🙂
I am celebrating that I am not stressing out during this very stressful time of building/kids/jobs/volunteering at school. Keeping perspective and knowing that God is in control and it will be okay if I play with my 2 year old instead of fold laundry! Or do nails with my 8 year old instead of clean the kitchen! Knowing that there will be rest at the end of a crazy day, and that God has gotten me through each one so far and will keep on seeing me through each trial!
I follow your blog and subscribe as well!
Sara B, I’d love to send a confetti wand your way! It’s time to celebrate your non-stress during the crazy month of May. Job well done! 🙂
I didn’t yell at my kids today.
I got to the gym at 5am 3x this week.
Today, a chapter closed in our lives, and now a new one begins.
It feels like summer outside!
Way to go, friend! Watch your mail for a confetti wand. Let the celebrating begin. 🙂 (PS Your kids are going to love them. Please take pics!)
