Hey Friends!

Carol Kent & me

Carol Kent & me

When was the last time you attended a life changing conference?

I spent last week at Carol Kent’s Speak Up Conference, and it was ah-mazing!

I’ve shared many times before how God has used this powerful conference to significantly teach and encourage me over the past nine years, and this year did not disappoint.

Once again, my heart is FULL!

My mouth is actually still sore from smiling so much!

It was such an amazing, anointed, God inspired three days! Yippee!

If I had to sum up my time at Speak Up with 3 quick, personal highlights, they would include…

1. Meeting so many wonderful women and hearing their personal stories.

I met tons of women with such beautiful hearts for God, and such a sacrificial desire to serve Him with excellence. I wish I could have enjoyed a cup of coffee with every single one of them!

I also loved every moment of seeing old friends, meeting new ones, hearing amazing God stories, and cheering another women on their personal faith journey.

2. Teaching my closing message and 3 different workshops.

I was super humbled —and maybe scared to death— when Carol asked me to close the conference this year.

Can you imagine?

I have long looked up to Carol and her team, and desire to put into practice the many skills and techniques they’ve taught me over the years. But to teach in front of everyone, especially when they’ve learned for three days what “to do,” can make this girl have big time butterflies and stomach knots.

Thankfully I made it through the closing keynote —Yay God! Yay praying friends!— and was extremely blessed by the positive feedback.

And thanks to my amazingly gifted, and super kind, new friend Katie, I was even able to share a LIVE clip on Periscope while I was teaching. You can watch a short recap below:

In case you missed the Aquinas Hockey team photo, here is the picture of the team that inspired this part of my message.  Every player is valuable, and when one team member scores a goal, or blocks a shot, they all celebrate. Why?

They are on the same team.

Side note: Are we friends on Periscope? If not, let’s connect there too! I hope to be sharing LIVE from UnityFest when I teach on Saturday, August 8th. Come join the fun!

3. My Roommates

Another huge highlight included having two very dear friends (Jen Ferguson & Paulette Stamper) attend Speak Up and stay at my home, otherwise known as the Bultema B & B.

Although our time went WAY too fast, it was a huge JOY to start each morning praying with them, and end every night reflecting on the day’s bright spots.
