If you’ve spent any time here at my blog *She Sparkles* — you know I enjoy giving away books, DVD’s, & resources that have personally impacted me. I feel like Oprah — I love it!
I’m thrilled about today’s giveaway — Everyday Confetti: Your Year Round Guide to Celebrating Holidays and Special Occasions by Karen Ehman and Glynnis Whitwer. I’m super excited about this book for a number of reasons!
First, you may remember, Karen is a good friend of mine. We first met in an airport after the She Speaks Conference in 2009, and since then, we’ve become prayer partners and cheerleaders for one another.
Karen is a super gifted writer, blogger, and communicator. If you don’t know her already, what are you waiting for? You will love her!
I have the chance to travel with Karen in February, and I cannot wait. The woman is simply hilarious! Get to know Karen at www.karenehman.com. (If you’re not reading her blog, you should. She’ll have you organized in no time!)
Friends, can I just say, you’ll love this new book from Karen & Glynnis. From beginning to end, it’s all about celebrating everyday life in simple, inexpensive ways.
Here’s how Karen describes it, “This project was so fun for us! In it we give ideas for celebrating all year long whether it is a holiday, a holy day or just an ordinary day when you want to make a memory. There are recipes and activity ideas and lots of contributions from other women sharing their ideas too.“
And from the back of the colorful book –
In this go-to guide, Karen Ehman and Glynnis Whitwer give women the ideas and the motivation they need to make such occasions less daunting. They provide creative ideas and menu plans for
- Holidays
- Birthdays
- Special Events
- Everyday Occasions
Readers will even find suggestions for reaching out to others throughout the year through celebrations that are simple, doable, and stress-free.
One more reason I love the book? Well, I don’t want to give it away, but let’s just say be sure to check out page 122 — you may know the Cindy B. who shares her “Mystery Day” idea on that page!
To purchase a copy, you can go to the Proverbs 31 site here. In fact, when you purchase the book at Proverbs 31, you will receive a free bonus PDF called Getting Organized for the New Year. It includes how to set up a project management notebook, a Bible-reading log, a year-at-a-glance special occasions reminder calendar, a helpful “cook once, eat twice” menu and recipe guide for making a main dish pull double duty and more. (More details on the Proverbs 31 website)
Are you ready for my good news, friends?
I’m giving away a free copy of Everyday Confetti to a *She Sparkles* friend this week!
If your email address is not connected to your ID, please leave your email address with your comment or email it to me at cindy.bultema@gmail.com with the subject “Giveaway”.
Let’s talk celebrations! What are you celebrating today, friend? I’d love to hear from you!
And me? I’m celebrating the baby steps I’ve been taking on my healthy living journey. Today’s lunch: quinoa, avocado, and carrots. Wow! God really is a God of miracles! LOL! (Don’t worry, I enjoyed my healthy lunch with a Diet Coke. Baby steps, remember?!) 🙂
Thanks for stopping by *She Sparkles*. Have a wonderful, confetti-filled, week!
Disclosure: I was not provided with any financial compensation for this giveaway, and as always, all opinions are mine.
I thought of you when I saw her book first posted! Celebrating today – a student I’ve been working with made big gains in math, a young boy has a smile on his face after shutting down in tears last week, and a hard-hearted girl said her goal was to be nicer to people. Those are things I privately celebrated today. God IS so good! Can’t wait to see you next week!
Well, I’m looking for ideas for FUN! since that is my word for 2014…
My new clothes dryer was delivered today. Being able to finally do my mounds of laundry & have some clean clothes is worth celebrating! It’s the little things, right? When the cute little song LG uses to tell me my clothes are dry started singing, I felt like tossing some confetti! 😀
