Hey Friends –
Welcome to Day 24 of 31 Days to Fire Up Your Faith!
If this is your first visit you may want to get caught up here. Thanks for stopping by! I’m am glad YOU are here!
Today I’m super excited to share my friend Marilyn Hontz’s story with you.
Marilyn is a speaker, author, wife, mom, grandma, prayer warrior, and beautiful sister in Christ! I’m thrilled to know Marilyn IRL (in real life) — and she is absolutely as sweet, prayerful, and grace-filled face-to-face as she is through her books and videos.
Marilyn’s life is a beautiful reflection of a woman who felt “powerless” based on early childhood victimization and painful circumstances — but through a personal relationship with God, discovered how to walk in the power and freedom available to her in Christ!
Here’s Marilyn —
Isn’t God awesome?! I love hearing transformational faith stories!

Oh Marilyn speaks right to my heart! Thankfully, I’ve not been through sexual abuse but I have a close family member who was and it’s definitely affected their whole life.
I have a passion to help women rip off those old labels, those names they’ve held and hid in their hearts their whole lives. I would love to see women everywhere shine God’s light on those names and see His Truth that we are all His Beloved. That’s such a powerful one!
I discovered my own new name this summer. Actually, I discovered two new names – Chosen and Called. In fact, I have them in the front cover of my bible. (I’ve posted a pic of it on your FB page.) These words come to me over and over again and remind me that God chose me and pursued me for the first 23 years of my life until I finally heard His call. And he is calling me for something greater. That may only be to touch the lives of those around me or it may be something bigger for His Glory. My story isn’t finished yet so I’ll go where He calls.
Amen! Amen! Amen! Love your picture on my FB page! Thanks so much for sharing! 🙂
Oh goodness. I cant say there is just one part of this, because ever single day is touching me in one way or another. I have been struggling with my faith and you have lead me to so many verses that I needed to read and meditate on. You will never know how much I appreciate you and your openness. I think God every day for leading me to your study. Thank you for everything!!!
