West Michigan friends, I’m teaching Red Hot Faith “live” this summer. Woo Hoo! Details here. I’d love to have you join us!
Hey Friends –
Do you feel a bit overwhelmed, exhausted, or frazzled this month?
Is your “To Do” list extensively longer than your expendable energy?
Are you wondering how in the world you’re going to get through the strenuous yard work, time-consuming work projects, countless graduation parties, baseball games and family gatherings?

Our weed-infested backyard
Boy can I relate.
For example, check out our backyard these days.
I told my husband John “Too bad weeds aren’t ‘in’. We’d be so in style“. LOL.
Add a plethora of field trips, class projects, ministry deadlines, a crazy dog, and oh yeah, the kids still want to eat breakfast, lunch and dinner….and this mama could be pushed over the edge.
But not this year.
I’ve added 3 very important words to my vocabulary, and it’s changed everything.
Here’s more…
(Let it be so noted, I promised myself I’d let go of “perfection” and share my first take. Here I am – the real, unedited, unscripted, me. :))

How about for you? What words do you need in your vocabulary this season?? How do you live “frazzle free”?
I’d love to hear from you!
Thanks for stopping by *She Sparkles*!
May your week be filled with love, joy and oodles of peace! I’m off to pull some weeds!
Sweet blessings,
Good for you Cindy! I think your post is something that MANY women need to head! Life can get too hectic…and many mothers just get burned out! I am past that time of my life…but I do remember what it was like, when I had three daughters at home. And I also remember the days when my 14 grandkids were young and I helped out with them. I loved those times with my family…I treasured them all. But there were times when I got too tired and too frazzled. I had to learn that I needed rest between my commitments.
Now I am in the Autumn of my life and I am enjoying quality time with my husband. We are not filled with energy anymore…but we do still enjoy being together no matter what we choose to do. My favorite time together is our morning devotion times. I thank God for a husband who leads me in the right path each day…and one who joins me in prayer for others in our family, our church, our neighborhood and around the community, as well as our missionaries around the world.. God answers prayers…and we consider this our ministry. We are thankful for all God has blessed us with. We have seen the answers to prayer…and we have seen His faithfulness! He is so good!
I know that your testimony, and your ministries, are a blessing, and an encouragement to so many women…and I know you love serving God. But I am so glad that you are honoring your husband by taking some time off this Spring. You do need some time to rest and to enjoy your family, and to have some self care and re-charging time.
I am so blessed to have found your blog and I do kinda keep track of you and pray for you Cindy. You are one of my “girls”
Love, Linda @ Truthful Tidbits
So, so, so good. Before I came to watch this, I wrote on my fB page “Can May please be over?” I’m adding new vocab to my language and sharing this.
